I felt an immense calling to go visit The Native Guides in Colombia last year. I craved adventure. I craved some answers to the chronic pain I had been dealing with the last 3 years that Western medicine had done little to help. All of my intuition was urging me to go.
Little did I know what I was getting myself into. The hardest week of my life. The most rewarding week of my life. It took a couple of weeks after my visit to really settle into the profound changes to my body, mind, and spirit. It is hard to put into context. The biggest thing; I relate to pain and discomfort in a completely different way. Like my nervous system got a reset.
At the end of my trip with The Native Guides we did an Ortiga ceremony. This is where you are beaten with mature stinging nettle plants. Thorns 1/2 of an inch long. After the week I had, I took this ‘pain’ with a smile on my face and joy in my heart. Little did I know how profound this was. I have not taken a pain pill since my trip.
My mind and spirit are renewed in ways I never thought possible. I have a much healthier relationship with Cannabis now. I have immense clarity on my life path and how to live my best life. I had my emotional walls that I had built up removed and feel life at a depth that makes my heart swell just thinking about it. My connections with my family and friends run deeper than ever.
My words will never do this experience justice. I am so immensely grateful for @thenativeguides and the whole team of men who helped me to heal in ways I never thought possible. Sophia + Abigail. Also thank you to my warrior brothers Aeris Corinthian, Hamish Clark, Shawn Chester, and Lee Moorer. You are forever in my heart, I would go to battle for any of you.
Surupa!
THIS IS MEDICINE.
